Maintenance & Custodian
Beaver Bank Kinsac Community Centre
Job Summary:
Some evening and weekend work required
20-35 hours/ week
Closing date: April 24th
The Custodian will be responsible for the cleanliness and minor maintenance of the Beaver Bank Kinsac Community Centre including but not limited to the following duties as required:
•Cleans and disinfects sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, fixtures and floors in washrooms.
•Replenishing bathroom supplies.
•Sweeps, mops and vacuums floors and rugs. Uses floor scrubber on necessary rooms.
•Other floor work required such as scrubbing waxing and polishing.
•Clean and disinfect all kitchen appliances, sinks, countertops and work stations.
•Dusting furniture, fixtures, baseboards and wall décor in all rooms.
•Emptying all wastebaskets and recyclables (Including outdoor receptacles) and transferring them to the appropriate dumpsters.
•Sorting all refundable recyclables.
•Cleaning of rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture (as needed).
•Washing walls, woodwork and windows. Polishing all reachable interior glass.
•Wash all finger prints from walls, doors, glass and hardware
•Spot clean walls
•Maintain storage areas and cleaning equipment materials and supplies in a safe and orderly manner to ensure the safety of the public.
•Pre event set up
•Post event, rental, and program clean ups.
•Other maintenance and cleaning duties as required by BBKCC Staff and Board Members.
Staff Requirements:
•Criminal Background Check
•Bondable
•Strong attention to detail
•Cleaning experience and able to carry out the physical aspects of the position including but not limited to lifting 50bs.
•Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System Certificate (WHMIS)
•Custodian experience considered an asset.
Staff Expectations:
•Reports to work each day on time ready and able to perform the days tasks.
•Must comply with proper safety policies and procedures as required (i.e when using cleaning chemicals, reporting incidents).
Physical Demands:
•Physically demanding: Combination of sitting, standing and walking. Standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs

Summer Camp Councillor
Seasonal position June - August 2026
Qualifications:
Student under the age of 30 returning to a post secondary institution in Fall 2026
Criminal Record and Child abuse registry checks
First Aid certification

Camp Councillors are responsible for the well-being and safety of campers, ensuring a fun and engaging camp experience. Councillors will plan and lead activities as well as provide guidance and support to children. Councillors plan, organize, and lead various camp activities, including recreational, educational, and outdoor programs.
