Job Description:

The Recreation Program Assistant will help with planning and organizing activities related to recreation, sport physical activity, arts, culture and education. They will supervise and work directly with children as well as work directly with youth and seniors. They will be responsible to help ensure a safe program environment. You will require excellent customer service, time management and interpersonal skills.

Required skills:

  • Ability to think creatively and adapt to an ever-changing environment.

  • General administrative duties.

  • Experience with MS Office.

  • Customer Service experience.

  • Experience organizing and/or managing programs.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Experience with event organization and management an asset.

Get help at a free tax clinic

Do you need help with your tax return? If you have a modest income and a simple tax situation, volunteers at a free tax clinic may be able to complete your tax return for you.

For the 2021 tax season, BBKCC is offering to do a Drop-off and pick-up: Show up during advertised hours and drop off your documents. A volunteer will do your return, and you will pick it up at a later time.

You will have to prove your identity when you pick up your return and documents. Volunteers may be able to complete and file your taxes for free.

We are in the office:

Monday, Weds,Thursday 8:30am-4:30pm

Tuesday 11:00am-7:00pm

Friday 8:30am-3:00pm

Our office closes daily (except Tues) between 12pm-1pm and 2:30-3:30pm on Tuesday

Remember to bring your tax slips and receipts

Volunteers need them to prepare your income tax and benefit return. If you are missing a tax slip, you may be able to get a copy online. For more information, see slips. To find a clinic select a province and city

What you need

In order for volunteers to complete your income tax and benefit return for you, make sure to have your:

  • Tax information slips

  • Receipts

  • Social Insurance Number

  • Identification

Tax information slips are prepared by your employer, payer, or administrator. You should have received most of your slips and receipts by the end of February. If you have not received them, or have lost or misplaced a slip for the current year, ask your employer, or the issuer of the slip, for a copy.

If you need a slip, you may be able to get a copy through My Account or by speaking to one of our agents at 1-800-959-8281.

You can also get your current year and prior year-old age security (OAS), employment insurance (EI) and Canada pension plan (CPP) tax slips electronically, by visiting Service Canada.
