Sept 25: Pasta and Salad: Fresh Pasta with Pesto, Salad with Raw and Roasted Vegetables, and Dressing

Oct 2: Rolled Snacks: Avocado Rolls, Rice Paper Wraps, Fruit Kabobs with nuts, Energy Bites

Oct 9: Soup and Biscuits: Sweet Potato and Ginger Soup, Cheese Biscuits, Chocolate Pudding

Oct 23: Pizza and Crisp: Pizza with dough and sauce from scratch, apple-raisin crisp, honey lemonade

Oct 30: Crackers and Dips: Seed Crackers, hummus, baba ghanoush, sweet potato chips, green smoothies

Nov 6 :Desserts: Cashew cheesecake, coconut thumbprint macaroons, rainbow cookies, pumpkin cupcakes

Class 1-Garter Stitch

New Skills: Casting on, knit stitch, casting off.

Class 2- Ribbing

New Skills: Purl stitch, ribbing.

Class 3- “Granny” Dishcloth

New Skills: Reading patterns, increases, decreases.

Class 4- Cables

New Skills: Cables.

Class 5- Scarves

New Skills: Reading grid patterns.

Class 6-Knitting in the round

New Skills: Using double pointed needles, knitting tubes.

Class 7- Hats

New Skills: Ribbing in the round, gauge swatches.

Class 8- Continuing Hats

New Skills: Decreasing and casting off hats.

Materials

-One ball of cotton yarn, medium weight.

-Two balls of your choice of ‘scarf yarn’, medium weight.

-One ball of your choice of ‘hat yarn’, medium weight.

-One set of double pointed knitting needles, size US 8 (5mm).

-(Optional but recommended) One set of standard straight knitting needles, size US 8 (5mm).

-One darning/yarn needle.
