Canada Day update

Canada Day festivities are still a go with a few small changes!
The Family Fair scheduled for 10:30-2 tomorrow has been moved inside and will begin at 11am – we will still have bouncy castles, face painting, balloon twisters, popcorn and treats, carnival games and prizes!! So come out and Celebrate Canada Day in Beaver Bank!! Don’t forget the beer garden starts tonight at 8, the free pancake breakfast tomorrow from 8:30 -10:30 am with Flag Raising and cake cutting at 10:45. The Youth Pizza Party and Sundae bar from 2:30 – 4:30 !! We will keep you posted on the fireworks. Enjoy your Canada Day in Beaver Bank!!

2017 Nomination report and vacancies

By Law Changes:

Article VIII

  1. The election of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors shall take place by written vote at the Annual General Meeting. The members of the Executive Committee of the Society shall assume their positions at the first Executive Committee meeting following the Annual General Meeting.

The election of the Board of Directors shall take place at the Annual General Meeting.  At this time, further nominations can be taken from the floor.  The members of the Executive Committee of the Society shall be decided in accordance with the bylaws and they shall assume their positions immediately following the AGM

The following will be omitted from our Bylaws:

Atricle VIII – Section 2

2.  Immediately following the election of the Executive Committee, but during the Annual
General Meeting the election and/or appointment of the remainder of the members
of the Board of Directors shall take place by written vote.

Did you know?
The Beaver Bank Kinsac Community Centre boundaries begin at the Millwood – Stokil intersection on the Beaver Bank Road, and continue northerly to the East Uniacke Rd and includes all sub-divisions and side roads in between and parallel with the shores of Kinsac and Fenerty Lakes. This would also include Rivendale & Monarch sub-division and Woodbine park.  If you live within these boundaries then you ARE a member of the Community Centre.  The business, property and affairs of the Community Centre is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors.
Any member in good standing can be elected to the Board at the Annual General Meeting which will be held on Wednesday, June 28th 2017 at 7:00pm. Refreshments will be served after the Meeting.

If you are interested in supporting the Community Centre by sitting on an ad-hoc committee, volunteering to help with special projects or events, or be a bar tender. Please call Jessica at 902-865 5114 to fill out an application.
