Bras Across the Bridge drop off box at the BBKCC!

brasbridge

The Sackville Kinette Club will be celebrating “50 years of Community Service” in November, 2013. One of the preliminary projects we will be assisting in prior to our grand celebration will be in support of the CIBC Run For The Cure.

Our Club will be supporting Radio Station C100 Moya Farrell’s team collecting “Bras Across the Bridge”. For each bra collected, Samuel and Co. will donate $1.00 to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation via Moya’s team. The goal is to collect 5,000 bras. The bras will be strung on the MacDonald Bridge spanning Halifax/Dartmouth on September 20th and 21st. After the event, the bras will be donated to women’s shelters throughout the province.

There is a bin for bra collections at the Beaver Bank Kinsac Community Centre for anyone in Beaver Bank/Kinsac who wish to donate their bras!!

Thanks so much for supporting this project !!
