Recreation Program Coordinator

Qualifications

  • Student under the age of 30 returning to a post secondary institution in Fall 2014
  • Criminal Record and Child Abuse checks
  • First Aid ( Opportunities available for training).

Duties Include:

  • Planning and organizing activities relates to recreation, sport, physical activity and education.
  • Supervise and work directly with children in BBKCC programming and summer camps.
  • Help to ensure a safe program environment
  • Misc office duties

Skills required:

  • Program development and management experience an asset
  • Experience working with children
  • Excellent customer Service and Interpersonal Skills
  • Ability to think creatively and quickly and adapt to an ever changing work environment

Other info:  This position runs for 12 weeks from June 9th to August 30 2014.  35 hours/ week.

Program Administrator

  • Handling public inquiries.
  • Assisting with event organization and management.
  • Supervise and work directly with children in BBKCC programming and summer camps.

  • Experience working with children
  • Excellent customer Service and Interpersonal Skills
  • Ability to think creatively and quickly and adapt to an ever changing work environment

Other info: This position runs for 14 weeks from May 26 to August 29 2014.  35 hours/week.

Protect your home from Wild Land Fires! – Info Session May 20th at 7pm

“How to protect your home from Wild Land fires” May 20 @ 7:00 pm at the Community Centre.
This will be put on by the Department Of Natural Resources. This session will talk about how to prepare your property to reduce the risk of losing your home in a wild land fire.
Beaver Bank is a high risk area for this to happen – help protect your home in case of wildfires!
